Topic: https://192.168.1.1/cgi-bin/webif/network-wlan.sh Never loads

I just freshly re-flashed and extracted out a new USB image.  However, when I try to load the wireless settings at https://192.168.1.1/cgi-bin/webif/network-wlan.sh, the page never loads.  Is there a good way to trouble shoot this?  Also, when I reflashed via tftp and installed a new USB drive, should I have erased the jffs partition?

Re: https://192.168.1.1/cgi-bin/webif/network-wlan.sh Never loads

Please post the output of 'ls -al /www/cgi-bin/webif/network-wlan.sh' and 'ls -al /packetprotector/www/cgi-bin/webif/network-wlan.sh'.

What happens when you run this script from the command line (i.e. cd /www/cgi-bin/webif; ./network-wlan.sh)?

You only need to erase the JFFS partition if you want to get rid of stuff you installed to flash under the previous install.

Thanks,
Charlie

Re: https://192.168.1.1/cgi-bin/webif/network-wlan.sh Never loads

root@PacketProtector:~# ls -al /www/cgi-bin/webif/network-wlan.sh
lrwxrwxrwx    1 root     root           50 Dec 31  1999 /www/cgi-bin/webif/network-wlan.sh -> /packetprotector/www/cgi-bin/webif/network-wlan.sh

root@PacketProtector:~# ls -al /packetprotector/www/cgi-bin/webif/network-wlan.s                                                                              h
-rwxr-xr-x    1 root     root            0 May  7 21:27 /packetprotector/www/cgi-bin/webif/network-wlan.sh

When I run it from the command line, nothing happens.  The script is empty

Re: https://192.168.1.1/cgi-bin/webif/network-wlan.sh Never loads

I tried to use the text editor to populate the .sh file, but get the same error.  It looks like somehow the file got wiped out.  I will connect the USB drive to a PC and re-populate it.

I haven't - but need to extract the USB drive data again.  Wonder why this file mysteriously blanks itself?

I had the same problem on my very first flash of an ASUS router.

I was never able to determine the root cause, but for whatever reason the second flash of the router soved the problem.  I did not change anything about my process.  Weird.
